Nervous and Unsure

**Before I start, I want to give people a run down of how this blog thing will go. Every week (or close to every week), I want to post something. Either it will be a product release coming out, views on a particular subject, just how I’m feeling at the time, or I might even have a guest blogger put their own posting up. But there will be one rule about it….There will be no rules! We are just going with the flow here!**
“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”
-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Now I know you are probably wondering why I used Gabrielle Sidibe’s picture for a blog posting. Well, it is not actually about her but the facial expression she is making. I have had that same facial expression for months! I was nervous and unsure about this whole process. I love T-Shirts. Always have but could I start my own clothing line was the issue. I have had the idea for about 2 years and I kept going back and forth if I should do it or not. I just felt that there was not a certain part of history that was not being told and me being a history fanatic, why not tell it the way I want to, through T-Shirts and clothing. I have had other projects that I have tried and did not go as well as I wanted them too. Then it just clicked. Sometimes you just have to step out in faith and see what happens. There are a lot of people who dream but never act on it. It is ok to try things and see how it goes and if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. Now what people forget is, you have to plan before you can just step out to run a business or whatever your dream is. You have to put in the work, time, and effort as well. You can’t just say, “Uh, I want to open up a car dealership!” and don’t know one thing about running a business or cars! You have to do your research and invest in your craft or it will not work. If you do invest the time and effort into it and you are really passionate about it, it will be a very positive outcome! For some reason if it is not, at least you tried it and will not live your life with regrets. So that is what we are doing! Stepping out in faith and out of the comfort zone. Either God will catch you when you fall or he will teach you how to fly.
PS: I have been saying “stepping out ON faith all this time and it really is stepping out IN faith??” Learn something new everyday! HA!
